Gag
A restraining part of BDSM equipment designed to prevent speech and stop the gagged subject from calling for help. It’s usually done by partially/completely covering mouth in attempt to stop tongue, jaw or lips move in normal way. Gag also carries connotations of control and humiliation, so it may be used as a form of punishment for the wearer. Effectiveness of a gag reflects its potential hazard and it involves a certain risk of asphyxia, so gagged subjects shouldn’t be left alone. Some of the most common types are: ball gag, bit gag (similar to one used in bridle for a horse), spider gag, harness and penis gag, inflatable etc.
